The network of venues comprising the Cambridge Art Galleries Idea Exchange served as a summer-long home to Toronto-based artist Amanda McCavour’s textile installations in Wanderings and Traces. All to her advantage, as the architectural and environmental diÆerences in venues gave license to a consideration of McCavour’s work beyond the narrowness inherent in the “white cube” aesthetic of the formal gallery setting.
