Claptone a suffisamment laissé planer le mystère autour de la sortie de "Charmer", son premier album. Le DJ et producteur berlinois avait laissé quelques indices avec les succès comme: "Ghost" (en featuring avec Clap Your Hands Say Yeah) et le tube "Dear Life" en featuring avec JAW, sans compter l'engouement créé autour du remix de Gregory Porter. Aujourd'hui Claptone présente un premier opus influencé par toutes les musiques qu'il a absorbées durant ses voyages.
